I did better than last year. At first I thought I had done REALLY well. But then I remembered they did take a length off the pool in the effort to conform to some of the new swim format. So I reworked the numbers... PHEW!!! I still beat my time from last year... but only by 2 minutes instead of my original thought of 3 1/2 minutes.
I can say that I am showing some consistency with the swim - about 2 minutes and 20 seconds per 100 yards - with not much change...
The bike is consistent with 5 minutes per mile. I will be curious to see how that changes with the new bike.
And the run - well the run went down considerably. I would say I hadnt been consistent enough with the run. Nor did I practice the run in enough heat. MAN! was that hot....
One area of HUGE improvement - transition.
I remember when my friend's sister commented on working on my transitions. I couldnt understand what she meant by that. Now I know all too much what that means. A significant portion of my overall improvement - or at least the offset to the run - was the transition.
