hot outside

it started on Saturday... when we were putting the bikes up on the bike the sweat was just dripping off of every limb in the heat...  on Sunday it didnt seem as bad as last year but when it was all said and done, it was a hot day...  yesterday we spent a good amount of time walking around the construction site - that is hot by nature so i didnt think much of it; later in the day while riding around in the car it seemed hot; but it wasnt until i rode the bike around that i figured how hot it truly was...
today i was just feeling out of sorts - i thought, the excitement of the new bike and not being able to ride it?  mild anticipation and anxiety from having a day off? not feeling very rested from the day off?  then i thought NONE OF THE ABOVE - oppressive heat bad air quality day was what i was feeling...
so tonight i have gone out a few times in the hopes of it being cooler and getting a short ride...
but at 830pm it is still 84F outside with not a wind or a breeze...
so instead i have tinkered in the kitchen...
bought food for the 17 day diet quest...  the reduction of carbs is always something that helps me - i am just not all that good at it - say tonight i DID eat the left over pizza from Saturday even though I had originally planned to just throw it out and grill chicken..
but i did make some egg and berry concoction for breakfast - kind of like custard without all the added cream and fat...  i made a salad for lunch - switched it up on myself this time - gonna to try to cauliflower in the mix - normally cauliflower and salad means lots of ranch dressing, peas and cashews but this time around it is just chopped and in the salad, i also made tuna - i struggle with tuna - i prefer the tuna in a pouch but i bought tuna at Costco in bulk so now i have CANS and CANS of tuna...  so i mixed it with - hold on to your stomaches - fat free plain yogurt and celery...  the dressing i made for the overall salad is vinegar & oil with a touch of garlic and thyme...  we'll see how that tastes...
and then the dinner for tomorrow will be the grilled chicken with brussel sprouts and onions... throw some apples and kefir and green tea in there and we have it all covered..
except coffee is not included but i refuse to give it up and i am struggling with the green tea... tonight is a decaf pomegranite..
and speaking of pomegranite - i have left over black cherries roasting in the oven with pomegranite liquor - curious as to how this is going to taste - thinking sauce for the chicken...
the goal is 14 pounds by Ireland...
