Crashed on the surface of your love

This ties in the other two posts... Gosh let's hope it all works...

Running Up That Hill

HAH - tricked ya - no work out ramblings here...

MMM - Your Love

I know it's not Monday but I am continually musing on the new Keane album and Keane as a whole. They definitely keep coming back with music that I like. Many articles slander them for getting away from their "piano" sound. Truthfully I have never given it much thought that they have a piano sound. Even when I saw them live and realised it was just the 3 of them I never thought of them as piano sound. I think Coldplay when I think piano sound. I

AHHHH - I had a bunch of other ramblings and a video embedded but for some reason it did not work...

Swimming

I havent been in the water since it started snowing way back over the winter.  Remember that?  I was all about swimming swimming swimming for about 2 months.  I had gotten myself into such a good routine.  And then it started snowing all the time and it just fell by the wayside.

I did start reading a book about swimming at that time.  It was about the stroke and the placement of the body.  And it was a great read.  However it has now escaped my mind it has been so long since I have read them AND been in the water.

I have started to read another book on swimming as well.  It is about the first woman to swim the English Channel.  I will have to write more about that when I get further into it.  So far it has been interesting.

Monday Music Muse - Night Train

I know most may think that I do more listening to the Stereophonics than anything else.  But the fact is I do get up occassionally and listen to other music to run and walk by.  Hmm - I wonder if a waterproof iPod would be a good investment?  Oh, I digress.
I also listen to a whole other world of music.  And one is about to step up and take the place of the Jones boys for a while.  And that would be Keane.

They are releasing a new EP later this week.  And I have heard many good things.  I am looking forward to it.  Plus I am hopeful I will finally put a Borders gift card to use with the purchase.
The other thing about the EP that interests me is it sounds like they are venturing in various approaches to music and I am curious to hear what that is all about.

I have been reading lots of articles and watching interviews and from the sounds of it their outside musical influences are ones that appeal to me so it will be cool to give it a listen.  Here's hoping that my rental car for Tuesday has satellite and I can find some cool Sirius Keane something...   OK - probably wont but that would be cool.

Town Called Malice

If I ever find the ambition to get out there and run walk on a regular basis - Town Called Malice - could be the song to help me pick up the tempo.
Instead this week I found myself spending a good part of my Saturday and my money at Costco.  I will have food for a while now.
On Sunday I did go walking with a friend but it wasnt a HRM/footpod type of walk.  It was nice.  Didn't have the energy to do much more when I got home.

On the Malice bit.  I decided to do a little Paul Weller searching.  I thought this is good.  Change things up a bit.  Shake that Kelly Jones habit.  WOULD YOU BELIEVE kelly has written a song for the Mr. Weller?  I saw a live performance done by the two on a youtube video last night.  And of course sucked me right back in.  Why couldn't I have found Malice instead and run around the house for a while?
