Rest Day

Today may amount to being a rest day.  My body and I are analyzing the situation.
I ended up taking Terri's spin class last night.  It is about 50 minutes of cycling.  So I suspect that is close to 9 or 10 miles.  It is interesting to see how the class and her approach impacts the heart rate.  You can see it quite clear on the Garmin with the gradual increase of the heart rate and drop as you peddle through the "hill" routine.  I had a good time.
The seat definitely is not as comfy as my own bike.  I probably need to get biking shorts just for the class. Oweee...  But the heart rate and the sweat rate was up there.  I will surely add it to my normal routine.
From there I raced on over to the pool.  OK not like transition pace race.  But I did get on over to the pool and jump on in.  I had a few minutes and all I wanted to do was get the swim in.
I was in the water for 10 minutes.  I swam continually the entire time.  I lost count but am pretty sure that I did 400 yards.  It felt good to do a little bit of both.  Although I must admit that I felt like the people in the pool were watching me and thinking - really that's all your going to do?  Oh well.
So tonight I am supposed to meet a friend after work.  However I did not get my list of things done yesterday due to a computer mishap at the office.  So it may end up being a long day at work and cancellation of plans.  If they do get cancelled then I think I will work in a hill run routine late this evening.
We shall see.  I did open up by saying I think this is a rest day.
