I have been saying this for a while but have not ever applied it. And I tell Miss SuSu all the time she should try it as well. And finally this morning I finally put my money where my mouth is. What is it?, you ask. Going the opposite direction around the neighborhood when going on a w/un. I normally come out the back door, turn left, down around the townhouses on the other side, left towards the gazebo, and left toward R&C's house, to proceed around the neighborhood in all its nooks and crannies in a counter-clockwise pattern. It seems the most natural for some reason. And everyone else that I run into while out there seems to take the same approach.
THIS MORNING - I went the other way.
Right out the door, right up the hill as if leaving the neighborhood, down and around the townhouses on the other side, and then clockwise around the neighborhood. The interesting thing. It felt like I hit a mile a lot sooner than the other way. Obviously a mile is still a mile and the time it takes me to get there is about the same. But for some reason it felt sooner. And the hills I chose to run down and the hills I needed to walk up - that all worked out differently as well. Maybe even a little better since it was different.
SO - I think I will go this way for a while with my new attempts to get out there first thing.
