Hit A Wall

Not literally.  And not the proverbial wall.  But a wall of inspiration.  I dont even know what I would call it.  Where you get that rush and want to go further?  I hit that today.
I did a 6 mile bike ride this morning.  I wanted to go further but there was a parade in town so I decided to not do 2 loops.  Fear that I would find myself in the midst of the parade organization or something.
I came home.  Walked the dogs (I am dog-sitting).  Had some coffee.  And went out for a run/walk.
I did 3.53 miles on the run/walk.  I did not have my HRM on but have synced the foot pod.  I did 10 minutes of walking then I did another 10 mintues of walk 1 run 1.  Then I hit some crazy inspiration...  we will call it a good random selection of songs on the Stereophonics radio on Pandora...  I dont know what prompted it but I started running longer and walking shorter.  Bedshaped - Keane; Seaside - The Kooks; Pick a Part That's New - Stereophonics; Send Me On My Way - Rusted Root; 1901 - Phoenix...  It turned out to be a great little run.
Then I spent a good amount of time stretching.  I need to remember to do that more often.  It felt so good to stretch out all the parts.
BUT WAIT - let's not stop there...  In an effort to stay moving - I threw on my new bathing suit and headed to the Y to swim.  I did a series - 100 breast stroke; 250 freestyle; 50 breast stroke; 250 freestyle; 50 breast stroke; 250 freestyle; 50 breast stroke...  Total of 1000 yards.
I stretched again.  Sat in the steam room a bit.  Stretched some more.  Showered.  EarthFared.
Somewhere in there I thought - hey you know if I can ramp up my swimming over the next 2 weeks... I could do the Splash & Dash.  Yes, I seriously thought this.  Can you imagine?  I am considering signing up for it and then going from there.  I will see if there are still slots and the cost..
Insane!
