MMM - Tired Pony

I really love this song.  I have raved to others about this already.  Just havent put it out here.  It is a compilation of Gary Lightbody and Peter Buck.  Oh and a whole bunch of others.  I suspect it does remind me in way of REM with Gary's voice.  Yeh, I guess that's what it is.  I suspect one of these days I should actually listen to the words and decide how I feel about that.  I think Dead American Writer and I think Fitzgerald.

I made a bunch of CDs for Spencer yesterday.  He has been talking about a lack of new music.  Of course the CDs I made werent all that new.  I would call them my 2000s essentials - Sting-Brand New Day; Chris Botti-Night Sessions; Seal-IV; Dominic Miller-Shapes; Keane-Hopes and Fears; Snow Patrol-Final Straw.
That takes you from 1999 through 2004.  Then I hit a stumbling block.  I truly couldnt think of what else I listened to from 2005 through now.  Yes, the other Keane and Snow Patrol cds.  The Stereophonics obsession got off in full swing somewhere in there.  That Damien Rice cd I suppose.  I know I purchased other music but none that resonate quite like the ones above. 

So now I am on the quest for recent music for him.  I have a list started.  Now I am just trying to figure out how to pull them all together.  Do you do a couple of songs of each of the newer artists or just one?  Oh I did download the Florence album.

AND NO - I have not got a workout back in yet!
