Against my better judgement the next race on our list of things to accomplish may juse be a mud run. I know what am I thinking? Possibly that I am 10 again. I was the down in the dirt, play in the mud (more of a precursor to playing in the kitchen), trek through the old gravel pit, woods, down by the river type of kid. And when I found myself playing he back yard it there was more time spent hanging from trees, jungle gyms or my knees than on the ground.
However 10 was a long time ago. The desire to play in the mud fell by the wayside when I realised that playing with eggs, flour and sugar was far more rewarding. Playing with eggs, cheese, fruit and veg isnt bad either. Hanging from my arms and legs - dont know when i did that last. I can say I had incredible upper body strength including arms and hands. Oh and those nasty callouses - childhood nervous tendency - chew on the callouses - HOW GROSS!!
The race if we were to do the fall race is 6 months from this past Friday.
I suspect that is enough time. Heck I have a triathlon in 10 weeks - I better be in shape.
